On 26th January 2026, as the nation celebrated Republic Day, a day that represents equality, opportunity, and the promise of a better future for every citizen. Hidayah Foundation spent the day with the children at Mathrubhoomi Child Home, Bangalore, creating moments of joy, connection, and hope.

What began as an outreach visit soon turned into a day filled with laughter, celebration, and meaningful interactions with the children who call Mathrubhoomi their home.

To make the day special, our team sponsored a warm and nutritious lunch for all the children. Along with the meal, we shared premium gift hampers and some of the finest cookies in town small tokens intended to make the children feel valued, loved, and celebrated on such a special national occasion.

The day quickly transformed into a lively and joyful celebration. The children enthusiastically participated in drawing competitions, fun group activities, and dance performances. The boys proudly showcased their dance talents, and many children expressed their creativity through colorful artwork and imaginative expressions.

While the activities brought happiness and excitement, the most impactful moments came through the time we spent speaking with the children and understanding their aspirations.

During our conversations, we witnessed their strength, resilience, and determination to build better futures. Many children are currently completing their 10th standard and are preparing to step into higher education. Several shared their dreams of becoming doctors, engineers, police officers, and professionals who want to contribute positively to society.

Some children spoke about their desire to study in better schools, improve their English communication skills, and gain the confidence needed to pursue their ambitions. Despite facing personal and financial challenges, their motivation to succeed was truly inspiring.

However, we also recognized a common challenge many of these bright and talented children lack the financial support required to continue their education. Without assistance, their dreams and potential may remain unrealized.

This experience reinforced our belief that education is one of the strongest pillars for transforming lives and empowering the next generation. Every contribution made today has the power to shape a child’s tomorrow.
